Buy USDT on Binance P2P: Website Tutorial

You will be able to place a Binance P2P buy order for USDT, pay from a matching-name account, notify the seller, and check the Funding Account for the released balance.

Why this matters

Before you place a P2P (peer-to-peer) order on Binance, know this: identity verification and at least one 2FA (two-factor authentication) method are required, and Binance runs these trades through an escrow workflow. Escrow does not mean the trade finishes on its own — if the seller does not release the asset after you have paid, the order page gives you an Appeal route. This tutorial walks you through buying USDT on the Binance P2P website, paying with a fiat method that matches your verified Binance name, notifying the seller, and confirming whether the released USDT shows up in your Funding Account.

By the end, you will have placed a P2P buy order, sent the payment from the correct account, notified the seller, and checked the Funding Account for the received USDT.

Binance account: signed in on the Binance website
Verification: identity verification completed
Security: at least one 2FA method enabled, plus SMS verification
Funds: enough fiat balance or payment capacity in the currency shown on the offer
Wallet or device: desktop or mobile web browser with access to your payment account
Name match: payment method registered in the same name as your verified Binance identity
Time: set aside time for the order countdown shown on the live order page
Do not start if your payment account name does not match your verified Binance name. Binance's policy requires the payment method account holder name to be consistent with the registered name on Binance.

Steps

Select “Trade” in the top navigation of the Binance website. Result: the “Trade” menu opens, showing “P2P”.

Select “P2P” from the “Trade” menu. Result: the Binance P2P trading page opens.

Select “Buy” on the P2P page, then choose “USDT”. Result: the page lists buy offers for USDT.

Review the offer list and pick one whose fiat currency, payment method, and order limits match your payment account. Result: the order-creation screen shows the selected seller offer and its payment details.

Enter the amount you want to buy. Result: the order-creation screen shows your entered amount and the corresponding USDT purchase details.

Select “Buy USDT”. Result: the active order page opens, showing the seller's payment instructions and a payment countdown.

Send the fiat payment using only the details shown on the active order page, from the account that matches your verified Binance name. Result: your payment provider shows the payment as completed, while the Binance order stays open.

Select “Transferred, Notify Seller” once your payment provider confirms the transfer. Result: the order shows that the seller has been notified.

Wait for the seller to release the asset. If nothing happens after you have paid, select “Appeal” from that active order. Result: the order shows the asset released, or it shows the Appeal option on the unresolved paid order.

Open “Wallet”, then select “Funding”. Find “USDT” in the asset list. Result: the Funding Account shows the received USDT balance.

Common mistakes and recovery

  • Symptom: the offer shows a fiat currency you cannot pay with. Recovery: return to the USDT buy-offer list and choose a different offer before creating an order.
  • Symptom: your payment account name does not match your verified Binance name. Recovery: stop and use a payment method registered in the same name as your Binance identity.
  • Symptom: you paid, but the USDT has not been released. Recovery: keep the payment record, leave the order active, and select “Appeal” from that order instead of canceling it.
  • Symptom: the order has expired or been canceled. Recovery: do not reuse those payment details — start again with a new active order.
  • Symptom: you selected “Transferred, Notify Seller” too early. Recovery: wait until your payment provider shows the transfer as completed before using that button.
  • Symptom: the order shows release, but you cannot see the balance. Recovery: open “Wallet”, then “Funding”, and check the USDT line in the Funding Account.

What to do next

Keep the order record and payment receipt. If you later transfer or withdraw the USDT, treat that as a separate task and check the receiving platform, asset support, network, address, fees, and any memo or tag before confirming the transfer.
